HIPAA 5010 Setup - PM
Process electronic bills according to the HIPAA 5010 standard.
- Enable the HIPAA Version 5010 registry setting. 'Y' enables the HIPAA Transaction Version field in the Guarantors/Payors form.
- Enable the Enable Template Definition/Customization in Guarantor/Program Billing Defaults registry setting. Once this registry setting is enabled, the fields listed below can process HIPAA version 5010 information.
Note: This is a one time registry setting and the associated functionality cannot be disabled once the registry setting is enabled.
Guarantors/Payors form
- In the HIPAA Transaction Version field, select Version 5010.
- This field must also be selected in the Electronic Billing form, to process version 5010.
Guarantor/Program Billing Defaults form
- When creating a guarantor/program billing defaults template, select Version 5010 in the Display Codes/Values For HIPAA field.
