Close Charges - PM

Use the Close Charges form to update liability or close charges. This form allows a client's charges to be closed so additional changes cannot be made to the service. Closing charges also prepares the charges for billing. 

Prerequisites:

  • Create interim billing batches using the Create Interim Billing Batch File form.
  • It is recommended to update liability before an interim batch is created, before charges are closed.
  1. Go to: Avatar PM > Billing > Bill Production > Interim Batch Creation >  Close Charges.
  2. Select a value in the Liability Update Or Close Charges field. 
  3. In the Thru Date field, enter the last service date to include for the chosen action. 
    Note: Enter dates in the format MM/DD/YYYY format, by using the calendar icon, or by selecting the T or Y button for today or yesterday. 
  4. Choose a value in the Individual, All, or Interim Billing Batch Cycle field: 
    • If All Clients is selected, no other selections are required. 
    • If Individual is selected, search for and select a client in the Client ID field. Choose the client's episode in the Episode Number field. 
    • If Interim Batch Cycle is selected, choose an option in the Interim Batch Number field. 
    • If Quick Billing Batch is selected, choose an option in the Quick Billing Batch Number field. 
  5. Select Submit.
