On-Line MEDS Default Screen - Cal-PM

Define the information that will populate the On-line MEDS Update Request form.

Preequisites:


  1. Go to: Avatar PM > Client Management > Account Management
  2. In the Guarantor field, select the guarantor that will populate the Guarantor field of the On-line MEDS Update Request form. Click OK.
  3. In the Program (To Determine PIN of Practitioner) field, select select the default program.
    Note: The PIN field displays the PIN field of the On-line MEDS Update Request form.
    The PIN is assigned to the practitioner through the Practitioner Numbers By Guarantor and Program form.
  4. In the Practitioner field, select the practitioner to populate the Practitioner field of the On-line MEDS Update Request form.
    Result: The PIN field displays the practitioner’s PIN.
    Note: The practitioner’s PIN populates from the Practitioner Number (HCFA Form Locator 33 PIN#) field in the Practitioner Numbers By Guarantor And Program form.
  5. In the Plan field, select the benefit plan.
  6. In the Financial Classes Medi-Cal Payor Should Precede field, select the financial classes that can be used to process an online MEDS eligibility assignment. At least one financial class must be selected to use the Medi-Cal eligibility assignment feature.
  7. In the Do Not Write Eligibility Records For The Following Aid Codes field, select the aid codes that will not receive eligibility records.
  8. Select Submit.
