What is the Visit Status & Insurance Action Reset Tool?

The tool will allow you to reset the Visit Status and Insurance action for multiple visits within once case at one time.

When to Use?

This tool can be used when you need to change the Visit Status or the Insurance Action depending on where a visit is needing to be at in the billing cycle.

How to Use the Tool.

  1. Open a patient account under the accounting tab.
  2. Use the Tools drop down and click on Visit Status & Insurance Action Reset
  3. Select which statuses need updated, the visit, Primary, Secondary, tertiary, or patient. Then use the drop down to choose the action for the visit and each responsible party.
  4. Select the case with the visits that need to be reset are located.
  5. Select all visits that need to be reset.
  6. Hit OK to complete the reset.

***If you have visits in multiple cases, you will need to repeat the steps for each case.
