Troubleshooting Printing in Crystal Reports XI
If a user calls to say there is a Crystal Report that they can’t print, first check for a default workstation printer and make sure they can print other reports and documents. If all that is OK, here is something to check. There is a setting in Crystal Reports XI that will cause the printer icon to be grayed out (circled in red below) in the TIER® Preview leaving users without a way to print the report.

Just to the right of the Printer icon is the Printer Setup icon (it looks like a printer with a wrench). It opens the Page Setup dialog box and at the bottom under Printer Options is a checkbox for No Printer. If there is a checkmark there, users will not be able to print that report. This setting is only for that report, not all the Crystal Reports. This dialog box can also be opened in design view by going to File | Page Setup from the Menu Bar.
