Troubleshooting Signature Pad and Bar Code Reader Add-Ons

One thing that makes TIER® so versatile is the ability to use add-ons.  Two such products are Signature pads and Bar Code readers.  Signature pads allow staff and clients to sign documents without having to print them first, and bar code readers can assist with entering data without having to type everything in, which can cut down on errors.  While they can be easy to install, sometimes details can be overlooked and end users get errors.  The following errors are some of the most common for the signature pads and bar codes.

When Topaz signature pads are used, every workstation that accesses forms with signature controls will have to have both the file from the CD that comes with the signature pad (SigPlus.exe ) and an exe file from support (TierSignPad.exe - contact support directly for a copy of this file).

If these components are to be used the TierBarCode.exe software needs to be installed on all workstations that access forms with bar code controls on them.
