TIER Human Resources

Overview

The Human Resources (HR) module is designed to facilitate the personnel management process, including tracking accreditation requirements of JCAHO, CARF, and COA.

Details

  • All employees must be entered in the Human Resources module in order to use TIER and the associated functions.
  • TIER workflow begins with the application for employment, then continues with demographic information, orientation, training, supervision, competency evaluations, annual performance evaluations, and ends with the termination process.
  • TIER begins collecting employee data at the hire date point of inquiry which will then autopopulate throughout the software wherever pertinent, which prevents redundant data entry. This information is carried over to the integrated employee record.

Features

The Human Resources module includes the following features:

  • Checklists to verify completion of the personnel process and related documentation requirements. The checklists also include documentation of credentialing and clinical privileging, if utilized by the organization.
  • Forms to document assignment of keys, equipment, and manuals. Return of these resources can also be verified at time of termination.
  • Competency evaluations for specific staff positions and an employee performance evaluation form to assist organizations with completion of annual appraisals.
  • Staff training resources to formalize employee orientation and education curriculums and provide the source of tracking education and training activities.
  • A Supervision Log to document provision of clinical and non-clinical supervision.

Formulas and criteria for staffing effectiveness can be incorporated into this module in conjunction with operational planning and the budget preparation process. Other functions within this module include: management of personnel transactions, assignment and use of time benefits, and employee health and accident information.
