Setting up DocWatch

DocWatch is a helpful tool that sends automatic reminders to users about such things as documentation that is due or when fire and safety drills are due, and it can even attach the document that needs attention.  This tidbit will be helpful for users who are unfamiliar with DocWatch and also for those that have not set up a new DocWatch in a while.  Detailed How To’s are available in the Knowledge Base.First, make sure that T-mail and DocWatch are turned on under Configuration from the TIER® tree view. Second, check that T-Mail works.  If the users cannot receive T-mail they will not receive a DocWatch.  Third, make sure that new staff members are added to the list on the T-Mail List document.Fourth, make sure the document is set up in the CrossWalk tab in AutoOpen Setup. This is usually found in the Utility folder in the Administration cabinet.   Once the above settings are in place, the DocWatch can be added from the DWS Management document.
