Set up Patient Acuity Levels
Path: Administration>General>Patient Acuity Levels
- Go to Administration>General>Patient Acuity Levels.
- Add a new row.
- Enter the code for a new acuity level, up to 6 alphanumeric characters.
- Enter acuity level description, up to 36 alphanumeric characters.
- Select one of the following patient types:
- A - All patient types
- H - Home health patient (non-hospice)
- Y - Hospice patient (homecare health or Medicare services)
- O - Other patient (exclude from all Cost Reports)
- Specify the standard category of acuity level associated with this code in the Special Type column.
- Select the hybrid rate to associate with the acuity level, if applicable.
- Select the Default check box opposite the acuity level that will be used for new admissions by default.
- Select the benefit rate to associate with the acuity level (only for Hospice patients), if applicable.
- Save your changes.
