About Therapy Utilization (PPS) report

Path: Reports>Episodic>Therapy Utilization (PPS)

With the Therapy Utilization (PPS) report, you can view the difference between projected, actual, and scheduled visits versus projected therapy visits from OASIS M2200.

The current regulation states that the agency must declare in M2200 of the OASIS how many therapy visits the agency expects to make during an episode of care. This report shows therapy utilization during an episode of care for each therapy discipline (PT, OT, and ST).

  • You can analyze open episodes to determine if the therapy projection (as answered in M2200 at start of episode in assessments) is met.
  • The report can also help you determine if episodes that are complete have met the therapy projection.
  • This report may also be run for episodes that begin in the selected date range.

The generated report consists of the following pages:

  • Summary Page – Displays the actual report data grouped by insurance code so that patients with the same payer are displayed on the same page. You can view drill down details for more information on the particular patient.
  • Drill-Down Detail Page – Displays the information on services provided for the selected patient within the reporting period including date of service, discipline code, employee name, service code, and service status information. You can access this page by clicking the patient grid line on the Summary Page providing that you selected the Visit/Therapist Drill Down Detail check box on the Define tab.
  • Report Specification Summary – Displays the report settings, which were defined on the Define and Consolidation tabs. Available only if Include Report Definitions Page is selected on the Define tab. Report Specification Summary is the last page of the report.
