Patient Signature workflow

  1. Enter any designated alternate signers for patients in Patient>General>Family & Friends.
  2. Select a patient visit in Schedule or Transactions>General>TimeLog for which you want to capture patient signature
    1. Click Apply Signature.
  3. In the Patient Signature Capture Wizard window, select the signature purpose that applies to this visit
    1. Click Next.
  4. Select if the patient will be signing, if the patient's designated alternate will be signing, or if you are unable to obtain a signature, and click Next.
  5. Select the patient's signature type, the patient's alternate, or the reason the patient is unable to sign as appropriate, and click Next.
  6. If you are able to obtain a signature, check the visit validation statement and have the patient or alternate enter a signature in the field provided.
  7. Click Finish.
  8. View or retrieve the signature document in Patient>Documents>Patient Signature, Reports>General>Patient Signature, or in the Retrieve Signature window accessed from Transactions>General>TimeLog or Schedule>New/Edit Event.
