Shifts Window

Path: Pay Rates Calculator>Settings>Shifts

With the Shifts window, you can define the hours in a day that receive differential pay rates (rates above the base pay) if it is applicable to your agency. In this window, you define periods of time in a 24-hour day that are used to associate a shift with a resource type. You can name each period of work and the hours associated with it.

Note: You cannot associate the same hours with more than one named period of time.

After you define differential hours in this window, they will be available in Pay Rates Calculator>Settings>Resource Pay Rates, where the shifts can be applied.

You must have system administrator or operator privileges to access this window.

Adding Shifts

1.	Open the Pay Rates Calculator component.

2.	From the menu bar, select Settings>Shifts.

3.	Add a new row.

4.	Enter the values in the grid as appropriate.

Note: Help is available for each field within this window by pressing F1 while in the field.

5.	Save your changes.

Editing Shifts

1.	Open the Pay Rates Calculator component.

2.	From the menu bar, select Settings>Shifts.

3.	Change the values in the grid as appropriate.

4.	Save your changes.
