Set up privileges for authorization

Path: Patient > General > Authorizations
Path: Administration > Configuration > Operators

Before managing information in Patient > General > Authorizations, set up the authorization privileges.

  1. Go to Administration > Configuration > Operators.
  2. Click the appropriate Privileges tab to open the privileges for your operator.
  3. In the Category section of the Privileges tab, select Authorizations.
  4. Select the Full Access check box to have the ability to manage the Authorizations window in Patient > General.
    1. If the Modify check box is selected, you will be able to modify existing authorization records, but not to add new ones.
    2. If the Insert check box is selected, you will be able to add new authorization records, but not to modify the existing ones.
    3. If the Read check box is selected, you will be able only to view information in the Authorizations window.
  5. Select the Can Use Pending check box to allow the pending authorization record and enable the Pending check box in Patient > General > Authorizations for selection.
  6. Select the Can Use Requested check box to enable the Requested tab in the Define Visit Limit Parameter dialog of the Patient > General > Authorizations window.
  7. In the Category section of the Privileges tab, select Schedule.
  8. Select the Can Exceed Authorizations check box to allow scheduling services, whose quantity exceeds the authorizations allowed.
    1. For example, if three visits are allowed for the authorization and set in Patient > General > Authorizations, and the Can Exceed Authorizations check box is not selected, and there are four visits to be scheduled, the system displays the error message in the Schedule component. The services will not be scheduled.
    2. In the same case, if the Can Exceed Authorizations check box is selected, the system displays the warning message. The services will be saved and scheduled.
