View staff calendar
View and manage your own calendar and your subordinates' calendars.
Release consideration: The redesigned Staff Calendar is available only in myEvolv NX beginning with the 10.1.0375 release.
The redesigned Staff Calendar follows the design of the Front Desk calendar introduced in myEvolv Evolv NX 10.1.0325 and improves the performance and user experience.

The calendar header displays the selected date or dates depending on the view. Use the arrows in the header to move to the previous or next day or week. The calendar interval displays for each date, as shown in the following example.

Navigate the staff calendar
Go to: Taskbar > Scheduled Tasks > Calendar.
The staff calendar opens to the Day or Month view depending on whether the staff logged in has subordinates. If the staff does not have any subordinates, the staff calendar defaults to the Month view. If the staff has subordinates, the calendar defaults to the Day view with the logged in staff selected.
The Staff section lists the name of the staff logged in and their subordinates' names. To view a subordinate's calendar, select the check box next to their name and their calendar displays side-by-side with the supervisor's calendar. To close any staff member's calendar, clear the check box next to their name.
Month calendar
The current month calendar always displays in the upper left corner of the staff calendar. Click a date to display that date in the staff calendar. Use the single arrows to move the calendar one month before or after the currently selected month. Use the double arrows to move the calendar to three months before or after the currently selected month. If the staff calendar is in Day or Week view, then the selected interval (one day or one week) will be highlighted in the month calendar.
Day and Week views
The Day and Week views display scheduled or due tasks and completed tasks.
Scheduled tasks will display with a blue border on the left and due tasks will display with a red border on the left. The Actions button for Scheduled or Due tasks will list some combination of 'Complete Task,' 'Edit Task,' and 'Delete Task' based on the permissions associated with that event. If the appointment is scheduled for a client, then worker role permissions will be applied based on the logged in staff’s assignment to this client. If the logged in staff does not have access to this client, the appointment will display 'Information Not Available.'
Completed tasks will display with a green border on the left and have an Actions button that lists some combination of 'Open Event,' 'View Event,' and 'Delete Event' based on the permissions associated with that event. If the event is associated with a client, then worker role permissions will be applied based on the logged in staff’s assignment to this client. If the logged in staff does not have access to this client, the appointment will display 'Information Not Available.'
If a staff member has a work schedule entered (Agency > Staff & Security > Staff Information > Work Schedule) and is unavailable for a specific time interval based on that schedule, the calendar will display a block with a black border on the left and the words 'Unavailable on Schedule.' If a staff has Paid Time Off scheduled (Agency > Staff & Security > Staff Information > Vacation Schedule), the calendar for that day will display a block with a black border and the words 'Scheduled Time Off.'
Month view
In Month view no direct actions are available on events and the Actions drop-down does not display. The Month view shows minimal information for each event to conserve space. All events for any given day are listed in the day with a scroll bar if there are enough events to require it. The Day number in the top left corner is a link to open that specific day in Day view. Click the day number to automatically change the selected date to that day and change to the Day view.
Open and view events
To open an event, click the Actions button and choose the appropriate action based on whether the event is a task or a completed event, or double-click the event to immediately open it in view or edit mode based on permissions.
For any event on the calendar, click the event to display a pop-up containing additional information. This pop-up is available in Day, Week, or Month view and will contain the following information.
- Client demographic information
- Person Name
- Client Alerts – if the individual is a client, any alerts will be displayed.
- Client ID Number – if the individual is a client, their ID number will be displayed.
- Age – if the individual has a date of birth populated, their age will be displayed.
- Event Information
- Event Name
- Program Providing Service
- Site Providing Service
- Date/Time of Event
- Duration of Event
- Remarks – If the event is a task, any remarks populated on the task will display.
