Track medication administration through eMAR
From the myEvolv eMAR taskbar module, specific to each location and time of day, you can track medication administration, quantity remaining, time, and more for individual clients.
View client medication list
You can view and track administrations of medication for each client at the selected location.
- Go to Taskbar > eMAR > eMAR > eMAR.
- Select the appropriate information in the filters:
- Location - Select a location from the list.
- Time of Day Band - Select a timeframe, examples are morning, before bed, evening, and so on.
- Date - Select the appropriate date.
- Click Apply.
Record a medication administration
- From the Medication List in the eMAR screen, in the Outcome column, select Administered.
Result: The fields in the patient row become modifiable. - Under the client name, in the Time field, enter a valid time.
- In the Program list, select the appropriate program.
- In the Notes field, enter any information as necessary.
- Select Save.
Result: The row color changes to indicate the medication was dispensed. The quantity remaining reflects the recent amount administered.
After you save a medication administration instance, you cannot modify the information.
Update the dosage when administering a medication
- From the Medication List in the eMAR screen, in the Outcome column, select Changed.
Result: The system displays a list to select the type of dosage change. - In the Changed list, select an item.
- Under the client name, in the Time field, enter a valid time.
- In the Program list, select the appropriate program.
- In the Notes field, enter any information as necessary.
- Select Save.
Result: The row color changes to indicate the medication was dispensed. The quantity remaining reflects the recent amount administered.
After you save, you cannot modify the information.
Record an instance of a medication not administered
- From the Medication List in the eMAR screen, in the Outcome column, select Not Administered.
Result: When you select Not Administered, the system displays a list to select the reason. - In the Not Administered list, select a reason.
- Under the client name, in the Time field, enter a valid time.
- In the Program list, select the appropriate program.
- In the Notes field, enter any information as necessary.
- Select Save.
After you save, you cannot modify the information.
