Overwrite a client restriction

In myEvolv you can temporarily overwrite a restriction that was placed on a client. This is meant to be a temporary exception to a restriction that will be reinstated.

For example, a client may have a restriction that they should not use a particular facility. An overwrite may allow the client to use that facility temporarily due to exceptional circumstances. 

Note: Restrictions appear in the header for the client. 

  1. Go to: Client > Client Information > Personal Information > Restriction Overwrites.
  2. Search for and select a client.
  3. In the toolbar, click New Event > Restriction Overwrite.
  4. In the Restriction field, click the magnifier button to search for and select a restriction. 
    Note: Only restrictions applied to the client are available to select in the Restrictions list. (You can apply restrictions at: Client > Critical Information > Alerts/Restrictions).
  5. In the Date field, click the calendar to select a date. The time defaults to 12:00 AM. To modify the time associated with the date, click the Clock and select a time.
  6. Optional. In the Reason field, enter a reason for the overwrite.
  7. Click Save.

Result: The overwrite information displays in the Critical Information > Alerts/Restrictions form under Restriction Overwrites.
