Dispense medication with Medication Packaging

Medication Packaging in myEvolv allows you to dispense medications per time band to a client for several days.

Note the following when working with Medication Packaging: 

  • You can only work on one row at a time. 
  • When you delete a record, the quantity remaining is adjusted automatically.
  1. Go to: Taskbar > eMAR > eMAR > Medication Packaging.
  2. Select a facility and a date and select Refresh.
    Result: The table shows the most recent medication administrations. Notice that unlike eMAR, which shows medications per time of the day band, here all the time bands display on one screen. The row you work on is highlighted with pink.
  3. Select an option:
    • Packed - The medication is in a package with a dose for each day in the time period.
    • Changed (change the dose) - If you select Changed, you need to select a reason for the change.
    • Not Packed - If you select Not Packed, you need to select a reason why the medication was not packed.

Notes: 

  • If Packed and Use Free Text for Take/sig is not selected, enter Packed for #Days to calculate the Total Packed.
  • If Packed and Use Free Text for Take/sig is selected, enter Packed for #Days and Total Quantity dispensed.
  1. If all the information is correct, select Save.
    Result: The row turns green indicating the record was saved. Edit and Delete buttons are now available.
