Create Standing Orders

In myEvolv, if you have the appropriate access, you can add, modify, view, delete, and route standing medication orders. You also can enter and modify standing orders as a batch, which simplifies routing the orders for approval. Once standing orders are approved, if eMAR is enabled, the medications become available in eMAR.

Prerequisites: 

The system administrator completes this setup: 

Add a standing order for a client

  1. Go to: Client > Client Information > Health Information > Medication Template.
  2. Click Select Client. Search for and select the appropriate client.
  3. In the toolbar, click Template to select the medication template that contains the appropriate medication.
    Result: A list of available medications in the template appears on the Medication Template form.
  4. In the list of available medications, in the Select column, click the check box for each appropriate medication.
  5. In the toolbar, click Add Standing Order to Client.

Create standing orders with batch entry

  1. Go to: Client > Client Information > Health Information > Standing Orders.
  2. Click Select Client. Search for and select the appropriate client.
  3. In the toolbar, click New Event > Medication Batch Entry.
  4. In the Medication Batch Entry dialog, click Template to select the template that contains the appropriate medication.
    Result: All standing orders that you added previously to the client from that template are displayed.
  5. In the Select column, click the check box for each appropriate medication.
  6. In the toolbar, click Save Standing Order.
    Result: The system displays all entries for the client.
