Remittances Requiring Action widget

The Remittances Requiring Action widget shows claims from a remittance perspective:

  • Claims with a remittance received and no action taken on the claims to address the balance.
  • Claims with a remittance received with actions applied; however, the claims have not been picked up in claims processing to execute the action.  

The widget automatically groups the remittances by the general output type, which can be expanded and collapsed by selecting the black arrow on the left:

  • X12 - Remittances from any receiver where the primary output is an 837/EDI file. Insurance receivers who's primary output is paper, like a CMS 1500 or UB04, do not appear in this section.
  • County/State/Other - Remittances from all other receivers where the primary output is NOT an 837/EDI file, excluding Self Pay. This includes insurance receivers with any paper format designated as the primary output type.
  • Self Pay - All self-pay remittances.

The columns available in the Remittances Requiring Action widget are as follows:

Date - the Check Date, not the Remittance Date.

Check No. - the check number.

Payer - the payer providing the remittance info.

Denied - the number of claims denied on that remittance. Selecting the hyperlink opens AR Management to perform actions on these specific claims.

Partially Paid - the number of claims partially paid on that remittance. Selecting the hyperlink opens AR Management to perform actions on these specific claims.

Payment Withdrawn - the number of claims where the payment was withdrawn. Selecting the hyperlink opens AR Management to perform actions on these specific claims.

Amount - the dollar amount of the remittance check.

Balance - the dollar amount of the balance of all claims that require action.
