Link a group event to a program

Events available in Group service entry are those set up in the Group Activities event category. These types of events are required to be linked to a program.

  1. Go to: Agency Setup > Services Setup > By Program > Group Services.
Result: You see a list of programs for group services.
  2. In the row for the program to link to the group event, select Actions, then Open Form.
  3. In the Service Events Defined sub-form, complete the minimum required fields:
    1. Service Event - Select the group service event. The service types available are limited to Activities, Activities Other, Training or Tests and Assessments that are set up in the Group or Family Case event category.
    2. Service Facility Type Choose the type of facility that provides the service. The facility type is typically the same type entered for the placement/enrollment service for the program.
    3. Service Facility - Optional. Choose a facility to limit the service to only being available at the specified location. For example: If your agency has four offices but only the main office provides the service, you would select the main office here. If your agency has four offices but two of them can provide the service, then enter two service lines here. If all four offices administer this program, leave the Service Facility field empty.
Note: When creating groups, you are required to link to a specific facility. If you choose to limit to a service facility here, be sure the service event is linked to a group associated to the facility.
    4. Default Location - Optional. The default location identifies the type of location, such as agency office. This location can be used to link to a Place of Service Code in Finance that could be sent with claims for a service. The list of values for this field comes from the Location table in Setup > System > Table Maintenance-Extended > Tables.
    5. Electronically Signed - Select if the event can be electronically signed.
    6. Can Submit - Select if the event is submitted to a supervisor for approval. Do not select this option if the event uses routing.
    7. Routing Workflow Scheme - Select the desired route if the event uses routing.
    8. Draft Service Option - Select this option to allow the event to be saved as a draft.
Note: Required fields do not need to be completed if the event is saved as draft.
    9. Keep open on Draft Save - If this option is not selected, when a user selects Save Draft, the form automatically closes.
  4. Enter the desired number of services.
  5. Select Save.
