No Show

Below demonstrates a basic individual service rate where you will also bill for No Show.

Details

  • The rate is associated to two plans/contracts.
  • All services that use this rate will consolidate into one claim if entered on the same day
  • The time chart used allows for partial units. For example, if the service entered has a duration of 00:30, the unit total would equal .5 of a unit, which will be used in the calculation.
  • The rate details say the following... "Effective 07/01/2003, for clients who are between the ages of 0 and 98, our agency's normal rate for the service is $83 per 1 full unit and the rate under contract is the same. The procedure code on the claim produced will be 95000. All services that are entered on a specific date that use this rate will be consolidated into a single claim. If a client service is entered and flagged as a No Show, the system will still bill for one and only one unit at $83.00"
  • A duration on the service entered as 45 minutes would equal .75 of a unit if not flagged as No Show. The system will use 83.00 X .75 as the calculation.

If you enter a duration on a client service and flag the service as a No Show, the system will always bill for 1 unit if setup on the rate.

Example Service Entry form with No Show

  • If a service is being entered where No Show is flagged and a duration is entered, the system will still bill the no show at 1 unit even though the duration is 02:00 (2 Units). A duration should either NOT be entered with ‘No Show’, entered with the understanding that only one unit will be produced or if duration is required, enter it as 00:00 if required or leave it empty.
