Form Bundler Rules
Rules for working with the Form Bundler.
Rules
- All forms in the bundle must be associated with the same entity. (For example, Client, Staff, etc.)
- The following rules apply to Registration forms. (For example, Admission, Pre Admit, etc.)
- If a registration form is part of a form bundle, it must be the first form in the bundle.
- Registration forms open before other forms in the bundle.
- Filing a registration form opens all remaining forms in the form bundle.
- Selecting Stop Entry for a registration form closes the remaining forms in the bundle.
- Admission forms must be filed before any other forms in the bundle.
- Inpatient forms cannot follow forms that work with inpatient, outpatient and partial hospitalization client data.
- Outpatient forms cannot follow inpatient forms.
- Forms that work with active episodes cannot follow forms that work with both active and inactive episodes.
- Inpatient episode forms cannot follow outpatient forms.
- Forms that allow multiple episodes can be bundled with forms that allow single episodes if the single episode forms are before multiple episode forms in the bundle, or share an episode type with multiple episode forms.
- Forms for active or inactive episodes can be bundled with forms that allow active and inactive episode forms if active or inactive episode forms are before forms that allow both active and inactive episodes. This is often the most important rule!
- The following rules apply to client entity bundles, and client entity bundles (all at once)
- These forms open first.
- Filing these form opens the remaining forms in the form bundle.
- Selecting Stop Entry closes the remaining forms in the bundle.
- Registry forms can be included with forms that are for active, or either active and inactive episodes.
- Discharge forms must be the first form in bundles containing inactive episode forms.
- Discharge forms can be included with admission forms when the remaining forms are for active or inactive episodes.
- Forms for active episodes can be bundled with inactive episode forms if:
- Active episode forms are before inactive episode forms.
- Active episode forms are separated by the Discharge form in the form bundle.
- The User Role Definition and User Definition forms control access to form bundles (Select Forms for User Access screen, Forms and Tables section). If a user has access to a form bundle, they have access to all forms in that bundle.
- The following rules apply to Record Locks:
- Record lock prevent access to a form (Record Lock Definition form).
- Record locks are triggered when the first form in a bundle is opened. This applies to forms in the same application, or in multiple applications.
