'Y' enables the following fields in the Guarantors/Payors form (837 section).

These fields define override delimiters in the 837 submission file:

  • 837 Data Element Separator
  • 837 Supplement Separator
  • 837 Segment Terminator
  • Add Line Feed to Segment Terminator - Select whether or not to output each segment in the 837 file on a separate line with a separating space.
    The system will automatically add a tilde (~) as the segment terminator. If a different segment terminator is desired it must be selected in the 837 Segment Terminator field.

'N' disables the above fields.
