Financial Class - Dictionary Value

Financial Class is set up in the Dictionary Update form (Payor file - data element 1000) of myAvatar PM.

This dictionary is utilized throughout the software to allow you to group guarantors. The system groups the guarantors under these categories for both billing reports as well as bill generation logic (e.g. the code is used to determine the appropriate boxes [or form fields] to be completed on each type of bill).

Selections can be added to the dictionary.

This dictionary has extended data elements:

• 1500 - System Financial Class
  Select the financial class.

• 160 - UB-92 Source Of Payment (Record 30-4)
  Select the payment source.

• 161 - HCFA-1500 Form Locator 1
  Select the payor to populate the HCFA-1500 form locator.

• 162 - Require Patient Signature Source Code
  Select Yes to require that the patient signature source code be included in the file.

• 163 - Payer Source

• 270006 - Require Policy # For This Financial Class?
  Select Yes to require the Subscriber Policy # field in all financial eligibility forms for guarantors of the selected financial class.
