Vaccine - Dictionary Value

Vaccine is set up in the Dictionary Update form (Other CWS Tabled Files - data element 60005) of myAvatar CWS.

The dictionary itself cannot be edited. The following extended dictionary data elements can be edited:

  • 60019 - Vaccines - NDC
    Enter the National Drug Code associated with the vaccine. The NDC code is used by First Data Bank to determine if the drug has allergy or vaccine interactions.
  • 60020 - Vaccines - Gender
    Select the gender to associate a vaccines with a particular gender (for example, HPV is associated with female clients).
  • 60021 - Vaccines - Also Covers
    Select to display a row in the Immunizations screen that will prevent a message displaying warning of possible interactions when a combination vaccine is selected.

 

The following extended dictionary data elements are used in ARRA Measures Reporting form.

Select the codes to include or exclude from ARRA measures reporting:

  • 65016 - Include Code in ARRA Measures Numerator
  • 65017 - Exclude Code in ARRA Measures Numerator
  • 65018 - Include Code in ARRA Measures Denominator
  • 65019 - Exclude Code in ARRA Measures Denominator

Select general vaccine types.

  • 62068 - General Vaccine Type(s)
     The General Vaccine Types dictionary has an extended dictionary data element. Enter the date the vaccine was published.
