POC Results Entry form
Use the POC Results Entry form in myAvatar CWS to enter the results and observations of a point of care test for a client. A point of care test could be a pregnancy test, COVID test, urinalysis, drug screen, or a blood glucose screen.
POC Results Entry is available in both myAvatar and myAvatar NX. To be more specific on the Avatar module requirements, it currently requires use of the eMAR module and 'Order Entry Orders this Episode' tab. The current support for POC Results Entry therefore has assumptions around an inpatient workflow (especially due to the eMAR requirement).
Prerequisites:
- POC Results Entry Configuration has been completed for at least one test.
- A lab order has been entered through myAvatar Order Entry.
- The lab order has a collection filed in myAvatar eMAR.
- The POC Result Entry form has been enabled in User Role Definition for the applicable user roles.

- Add/Correct/Void defaults to Add if there is no prior result to be corrected or voided.
- If correcting or voiding a previously entered result, select Yes to Include Resulted Collections and select a previously documented Collection.
- The Correct and Void options become enabled in the Add/Correct/Void field. Make a selection.
- If correcting a result, the previously entered result details populate into the remaining fields and the correction can be made and filed.
- If voiding a result, enter Void Comments and file.
- Order details display in the read-only dialog.
- The related Collecting Staff, Specimen Collection Date, Specimen Collection Time all default based on the associated eMAR specimen collection event.
