Treatment Plan Update from Progress Note

What are we doing?

To support documentation of treatment plan progress and support updates within the progress note, the Treatment Plan Grid functionality in the progress note will be enhanced to enable identification of progress for a selected plan item, and determine whether to push the updated plan item documentation back to the Treatment Plan form.

Why are we doing it?

myAvatar clinicians need to indicate items that were addressed during a session with a client from their treatment plan, indicate progress, and add notes specific to each item addressed. Those notes need to be reviewable for consideration by staff reviewing the treatment plan and plan element referenced in the progress note. 

How are we doing it?

myAvatar will be enhanced to leverage the Treatment Plan Grid functionality in progress notes to enable documentation of individual plan elements addressed by including these features: a dictionary to indicate progress and a flag to add comments for the selected element to the treatment plan under that element item. Enhancements include:

  • An option that allows a user to choose to add documentation from the selected row of the Treatment Plan Grid to the selected treatment plan via a locked scrolling text field.
  • An optional display of progress note information related to the specific treatment plan element when documented via the Treatment Plan Grid.
