Missing Managed Care Authorization - Registry Setting

This registry setting only applies to Avatar installments with a Single Server Environment.
For Multiple Server Environments, please see Inhibit Liability - determinations.

This registry setting enables the system to search for a valid authorization to distribute liability for guarantors that are setup to utilize authorization verification.

'Y' makes the Missing Managed Care Authorization selection available in the Guarantors/Payors form, Inhibit Liability Distribution By field.

Also, the system will check if this selection is marked in the Inhibit Liability Distribution By field for the guarantor the liability is being evaluated for. If the selection is marked, the system will look for a valid authorization to distribute the liability to the selected guarantor. If the selection is not marked, the system will continue to distribute the liability without looking for a valid authorization.

'A' causes the system to look for a valid authorization to distribute liability for all guarantors that are setup to utilize authorization verification. Authorization verification requirements can be setup using the Authorization Information section of the Guarantors/Payors form.

'N' disables all the authorization checking during liability distribution.
