'Y' enables the 'Global Period', and 'Can This Service Be Rendered Within The Global Period Of Other Services' fields in the Service Codes form (Add/Edit Service Codes section).

  • The Global Period field specifies the number of days a global period can exist after a service has been rendered.

  • Specify if service liability can be distributed to any guarantor defined in a client’s financial eligibility, based on another service provided by the same practitioner in a specified number of days.

  • Self pay guarantors associated with the service cannot be inhibited.

This logic applies to services rendered after a value is entered in the ’Global Period’ field for a service.

'N' disables these fields and the associated logic.
