'Y' enables the following functionality:

The Sliding Fee Scale form.

The Financial Determination Configuration, and Financial Determination forms.

The Use Sliding Fee Scale Or Financial Determination field in the Financial Eligibility (Customize Plan section), Cross Episode Financial Eligibility (Customize Plan section), and Benefit Plan (Insurance Plan Levels section) forms.

If "Sliding Fee Scale" is selected, the Sliding Fee Scale field will be enabled and any sliding fee scale selected will function as it currently does.

If "Financial Determination" is selected, the monthly ability to pay amount for each client based on the Financial Determination form will be used as a monthly deductible for the specified plan. A client will only have one monthly ability to pay amount. Multiple plans can select "Financial Determination" and they would all deduct from that monthly amount.

The Sliding Fee Scale field in all financial eligibility forms (Customize Plan section), and in the Benefit Plan form (Insurance Plan Levels section).
Use the above fields to associate an individual plan level with either Financial Determination or a specific Sliding Fee Scale definition

The Sliding Fee Scale - Income, and Sliding Fee Scale - Number Of Dependents fields in the Financial Investigation, and Call Intake (Financial Investigation section) forms.
Use these fields to enter the income levels to take in to account for the sliding fee scale. If the income calculation does not include dependents (e.g. child support), use the same dollar amount in each income range. -
The Effective Date, Sliding Fee Income, and Sliding Fee Number Of Dependents columns in the Financial Investigation form pre-display. The Household Income column is disabled in the pre-display.
'N' disables the Financial Determination and Sliding Fee Scale functionality.
