'Y' enables the Does This Guarantor Get Billed Under 3-Day Billing Rules field in the Guarantors/Payors form.

This field defines whether a guarantor will be billed under three day billing rule.

This rule is specific to Inpatient Medicare Part A PPS billing. If the client has left the facility for more than three days (four days or more), then two separate claims will be submitted for services. The first would be a discharge claim, and the second an Admission claim. This would occur whether it is a discharge/readmission, or a leave. 

'N' disables the above field and associated functionality.
