'Y' adds the Emergency Indicator field to the following forms:

  • Service Codes
  • Edit Service Information
  • Edit Service Information (Charge Fee Access)

This field defines an emergency indicator for a service.

In addition, the Bill 837P Using Service Code Emergency Indicator? field is added to the Program Maintenance form.

When both fields are set to Yes, then the Emergency Indicator (2400-SV1-09) will populate on the 837P.

'N' removes these fields from the forms.
