'Y' enables the following:

  • The ICD-9-CM Procedure Code Definition form.

  • ICD-9 procedure codes are used in procedure codes lookup fields on the UB-92/UB-04/837I Billing Maintenance Screen form.

 Procedure code data filed in the UB-92/UB-04/837I Billing Maintenance Screen form before this registry setting was defined will remain in the database, unless the codes are overwritten.

Procedure code data filed before this registry setting was defined will be entered as 'Invalid' in '_value' fields (billing_maint_hist_ub92 SQL table), unless the code is a valid ICD-9 diagnosis code, and a valid ICD-9 procedure code.

 

'N' ICD-9 diagnosis codes are used in procedure code lookup fields in the UB-92/UB-04/837I Billing Maintenance Screen form.
