For Single Server Environments, please see the following registry settings:
Enter the following numbers separated by an '&' to override the statement From Date and Through Date of claims with the following date types:
1 - Claim First/last Date of Service
This selection overrides the statement From Date and Through Date with the first and last dates of the services being billled. Also, the Include Discharge Date In Statement To Date (2300-DTP) field will be added to the Guarantor/Program Billing Defaults form (837 Institutional section) allowing users to specify whether the discharge date should be added to the Statement To Date (2300-DTP) when reporting a discharge claim (Bill Type xx1 or xx4).
By default, the system will always include the discharge date in the Statement To Date (2300-DTP) when reporting a discharge claim for a client whose discharge date is the day after the last date of service on the bill.
2 - Coverage Effective/Expiration Dates
This selection overrides the statement From Date of an initial claim (Bill Type xx1 or xx2) with the Coverage Effective Date as defined in the Financial Eligibility form. The first date of service would be used as the From Date if it is earlier than the Coverage Effective Date. It also causes the system to override the Through Date of a claim with the Coverage Expiration Date. The last date of service would be used as the Through Date if it is later than the Coverage Expiration Date.
This setting only applies to inpatient claims where the extended dictionary System Financial Class for the selected Financial Class is defined as Medicaid.
