DC Orders Via Inbound Interface - Registry Setting
Avatar Order Entry > Interfaces > Pharmacy
Define whether pharmacy orders in myAvatar Order Entry should be discontinued if certain messages are received from a pharmacy application via the Inbound Pharmacy Fill Details HL-7 integration.
'0' takes no action; orders are not discontinued.
'1' does not discontinue the Order Entry order, but sends a To Do List notification to the Ordering Practitioner whenever such a message is received and the indicated Order Entry order is not already discontinued, thereby providing an alert that an associated order in the pharmacy system has been discontinued and that action might be required.
'2' discontinues the Order Entry order (if it is not already discontinued), and sends a To Do List notification to the Ordering Practitioner, thereby providing an alert that the Order Entry order was discontinued.
'3' discontinues the Order Entry order (if it is not already discontinued), and flags the order as Validation Required, and sends a To Do List notification to the Ordering Practitioner, thereby providing an alert that the Order Entry order was discontinued and that validation is required.
If this registry setting is enabled, messages that can trigger the discontinuation of an myAvatar Order Entry pharmacy-type order include those with Order Control Codes such as:
- UA (Unable to accept order)
- CA (Cancel order request)
- OC (Order canceled)
- CR (Canceled as requested)
- DC (Discontinue order)
- OD (Order discontinued)
- DR (Discontinued as requested)
- VO (Void order; this is a non-standard Order Control Code)
