'Y' enables the 'Emergency Indicator (837P-2400-SV1-09)' field in the Service Detail section of the following forms: Claim Processing (CMS 1500), Claim Processing with Override (CMS 1500), and Fast Service Entry. 

837 Professional claims, with a value in segment 2400-SV1-09 will populate this field .

'N' disables the above field, and will bypass values in the 837P-2400-SV1-09 segment.
