Enable Authorization Frequencies - Registry Setting

This registry setting allows authorizations to be entered on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.

'Y' adds the following fields to the forms Service Authorization, and Service Authorization (Unlimited Codes), as well as the Budget Tracking Account Setup (Member Service Authorization section).

  • Frequency Type
    Determines how frequently the units or dollars can be used for the procedure code entry or authorization. The time frame for frequency will be based on the effective date of the procedure code entry or authorization. For example, if the frequency type value is Weekly and the procedure code entry or authorization is effective as of 1/6/15, the frequency would be for 1/6/15-1/12/15, 1/13/15-1/19/15, etc. If the frequency type were Monthly, the frequency would be 1/6/15-2/5/15,2/6/15-3/5/15, etc.
  • Frequency Limit
    Determines how many units or dollars are available per frequency code (e.g. 10 units per month, 5 unit per week).
  • Frequency Periods
    Automatically calculated based on the begin/end date values for the procedure code entry or authorization. For example, if the authorization or procedure code dates are from 1/1/2015-1/1/2016, and Frequency Type is Monthly, this field would be calculated as 12.
     If Begin Date Of Authorization is populated and End Date Of Authorization is not populated, the value calculated for in Frequency Periods will also be used to default a value into End Date Of Authorization based on the Frequency Type. For example, if the Begin Date of Authorization is 1/1/15 and Frequency Periods is set to '12', End Date Of Authorization would default to 1/1/16.

These fields file to the SYSTEM.service_auth_svc table.

'N' removes these fields from the forms.
