Contracting Provider Determination Method - Registry Setting

This registry setting allows a user to select the method for determining the contracting provider while processing a 278 request file.

Selecting '1' will compare 2010B-NM1-09 against the 'Submitter Identifier' field on the 'Contracting Provider Registration' form in order to determine the provider.

Selecting '2' will compare 2010B-NM1-08 against the 'Facility ID Code Qualifier' field and 2010B-NM1-09 against the 'Facility ID Code' field on the 'Contracting Provider Program Information' tab of the 'Contracting Provider Registration' form in order to determine the provider program. The program will then be used to determine the provider.

These fields are not necessarily unique between providers. In the case of multiple matches, the first match will be used.
