'Y' overrides the statement 'From Date' of an initial claim (Bill Type xx1 or xx2), with the 'Coverage Effective Date' (defined in the Financial Eligibility form).

  • The first date of service is used as the 'From Date', if it is earlier than the 'Coverage Effective Date'.
  • The 'Coverage Expiration Date' overrides the claim ’Through Date’.
  • The last date of service is used as the 'Through Date', if it is later than the 'Coverage Expiration Date'.

This setting applies to inpatient Medicaid claims.
