Require Authorizations at Guarantors/Payors Level - Registry Setting
Define how fields used to require authorizations are handled at the guarantors/payors level in various authorization forms.
Selecting 'Y' does the following:
- allows filing the Authorization Group Definition form
- adds the Authorization Group, Program, and Practitioner Category to the Payor Based Authorizations form
- modifies the Expiration Date in the Payor Based Authorizations form to not be required
- modifies the Service Code, Program, and Guarantor in the Payor Based Authorizations form to be multiple-select fields
- adds the Authorization Group(s) fields to the Guarantors/Payors (Authorization Information) form
- adds new fields to the Guarantors/Payors (Authorization Information) form used to identify if an authorization should be required
- makes the Authorization Number no longer required in the Managed Care Authorizations (Managed Care Authorization Data) form
- modifies the Authorization Group in the Managed Care Authorizations (Managed Care Authorization Data) form so that selecting an authorization group limits the service code choices to the service codes in the selected authorization group
Selecting 'N' does the following:
- disallows filing the Authorization Group Definition form
- removes the Authorization Group, Program, and Practitioner Category from the Payor Based Authorizations form
- makes the Expiration Date required in the Payor Based Authorizations form
- makes the Service Code, Program, and Guarantor single-select fields in the Payor Based Authorizations form
- removes the Authorization Group(s) fields from the Guarantors/Payors (Authorization Information) form
- allows removing fields in the Guarantors/Payors (Authorization Information) that identify if an authorization should be required
- makes the Authorization Number required In the Managed Care Authorizations (Managed Care Authorization Data) form
- changes the Authorization Group logic back in the authorization forms
