Inhibit Liability - determinations - Registry Setting

This registry setting allows you to inhibit liability from distributing to guarantors based on different settings.
Enter the following numbers separated by an ampersand (&) to enable the corresponding selections in the Inhibit Liability Distribution By field on the Guarantors/Payors form.

| 1 - Client Status | This selection also enables the Inhibit Liability Distribution (By Client) form. | |
| 2 - Legal Status | Liability distribution to the guarantor will be prevented if information is found that is effective during for the date of service, and where No is selected in the 'Billable' extended attribute (Legal Status dictionary). This selection also enables the Inhibit Liability Distribution (By Client) form. |

| 3 - Non-Medicaid Bed Stay | Liability distribution to the guarantor will be prevented if not in a Medicaid certified bed during the date of service. | |
| 4 - Missing Managed Care Authorization | Liability distribution to the guarantor will be prevented if a valid authorization to distribute liability is not found for a guarantor that is set up to utilize authorization verification. | |
| 5 - Missing Managed Care Authorization (All Guarantors) | Liability distribution to the guarantor will be prevented if a valid authorization to distribute liability is not found for all guarantors that are set up to utilize authorization verification. Authorization verification requirements can be set up using the Authorization Information section of the Guarantors/Payors form. | Do not select 5 unless you have had direct engagement with a Netsmart team member. Setting this to 5 will cause all service liabilities to distribute to the CSM/NTST Default Payor unless a Managed Care Authorization is in place to cover the services. |
Example: By entering '2&3' the Legal Status and Non-Medicaid Bed Stay selections will be enabled.
