'Y' enables the present on admission indicator in paper UB-04 bills.

  • The 'Present On Admission Indicator' field is enabled in the Diagnosis, Medical Diagnosis (Medical Diagnosis Input section), and UB-92/UB-04/837I Billing Maintenance Screen forms.

'R' enables and requires the 'Present On Admission Indicator' field in the Diagnosis form.

'E' enables the field.

  • The 'Display Present On Admission Indicator Code For Form Locators 67 And 72' field is enabled in the Guarantor/Program Billing Defaults (Paper UB-04 section) form.

This field is used to determine if the present on admission indicator should be used for a guarantor and program combination on the bill.

'N' disables these fields.
