Include CLIA Numbers - Registry Setting

These registry settings allow CLIA numbers to be included in an 837 file.

'Y' enables the following fields in the Guarantor/Program Billing Defaults form (837 Institutional section).

  • Display CLIA Number In NTE Segment At Claim Level
  • Billing/Rendering CLIA Number Code Qualifier (2300-NTE-01)
  • Billing/Rendering CLIA Loop/Segment And Qualifier Location
  • Outsourced LAB CLIA Number Code Qualifier (2300-NTE-01)
  • Outsourced Lab CLIA Loop/Segment And Qualifier Location

 CLIA Numbers are used only if Yes is selected in the 'Display NTE Segment At Claim Level' field on the 837 Professional section.

'N' disables these fields.

'Y' enables the 'Include Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendment Number', and 'Display Rendering/Billing CLIA Number At Service Level If No Outsourced Laboratory Is Identified' fields in the Guarantor/Program Billing Defaults form (837 Professional section).
