Allow Merging Into Existing Episode - Registry Setting

This registry setting allows you to merge source client episodes into target client episodes of the same program type.

'Y' adds the Create New Episode On Merge field to the Client Merge form.
This field allows you to choose whether or not to create a new target episode with the client merge.

• Both the source episode and target episode must overlap each other (both episodes must be active at the same time on one or more days).
• During filings of the Client Merge form, if the source client episode is associated with the same non-inpatient program as an existing episode of the target client, the admission and discharge dates of the target episode will be updated to match the earlier admission and later discharge date between the two episodes. However, the merge will be disallowed if the updated target episode will overlap an already existing episode of the target client associated with the same program.
• Admission, discharge and bed assignment data will not be included in the merge.

'N' disables this logic.

 This functionality will be disabled if installed child applications, modules and site specific client merge development do not have the updates loaded to support this functionality.
