Store Signature On Finalized Note - Registry Setting

Avatar CWS > Progress Notes > Ambulatory > Store Signature On Finalized Note

Prerequisite:

  • The registry setting Store Signature On Finalized Note was added via CWS 2020 Update #33.1 to each Progress Note copy.

When this registry setting is set to 'Y', the phrase 'Electronically Signed By' followed by the user's name, credentials, and the date and time of finalization displays on the chart. The registry setting applies to both myAvatar and myAvatar NX. 

The signature information is current as of the date and time when the user finalized the note and is stored within the cw_patient_notes table in the finalized_signature column. 

Notes:

  • The Store Signature On Finalized Note functionality described here does not require Document Routing to be enabled in order to display the electronic signature information.
  • This registry setting should be disabled when Document Routing is enabled for the selected Progress Note copy.
