Allergen Description Preference - Registry Setting

Location: Avatar CWS > CWS Utilities > Set System Defaults > CWS Allergies

You can use this setting to indicate how allergen descriptions should be displayed within the Allergen Search field. You can choose from:

Option Description Notes
S Simple Description Allergen description only.
D Detailed description All associated codes display at the end.
C Custom Description Selected codes display at the end. You need to indicate which codes should be displayed as a part of the description in the "C&code&code&code" format. For example: "C&Code", "C&RxNorm&NUI".

Valid code indicators:

Code = Unique allergen identifier (MDX-NNNN , SCT-NNNN etc.)
RxNorm = RxNorm
NUI = NUI
SNOMED = SNOMED
