Claim Adjustment Reason Code is set up in the Dictionary Update form (Other Tabled Files - data element 1214).

This dictionary has extended data elements:

 These values will be defined initially but will not be maintained by update installation. The values may be edited as needed.

  • 1214 - Claim Adjustment Reason Code
    Define a replacement code to be used instead of the main Claim Adjustment Reason Code value in case it is invalid due to the Effective Date/Expiration Date.
  • 365 - Effective Date
    Define the date at which the code becomes effective.
  • 366 - Expiration Date
    Define the date at which the code expires.
