835 Denial Reason - Dictionary Value

835 Denial Reason is set up in the Dictionary Update form (Client file - data element 11529).

In order for the 835 Denial Reason to populate in the field in the Claim Follow Up form, the dictionary code must match the reason code and the reason code must be included at the beginning of the dictionary value (description). 

Example using denial reason 1 Deductible Amount:
Dictionary Code = 1
Dictionary Value (description) = 1 Deductible Amount
