Template Definition Section
Define user scrolling free text templates.

In the Scrolling Text Templates table, click Add New Item.

In the Scrolling Text Table Column field, select the scrolling text data column.

In the Template Description field, enter the description to display in the scrolling text template right-click menu.

In the Template Contents field, enter the scrolling text template contents. This can be as simple as “S O A P” to remind the user what need to be addressed, or this can be more robust and contain all of the general information which is normally retyped over and over, thereby reducing the number of keystrokes required for documentation. It can also contain keywords selected in the Keywords field.

In the Keywords field, select the keywords to add to the Template Contents. These can help personalize the note by pulling in the client’s name or add additional detail such as data entry user and data entry date. LINE FEED and SPACE can be used to format the template for usability.

Click View Sample to display a template sample screen.

If appropriate, select Deactivate Template. Deactivated templates do not display in right-click System Templates menus.

Click Submit.
