Edit Registry Settings

Manage myAvatar registry settings without having to open the standalone Registry Editor.

Registry settings are grouped in categories:

  • Initial System Configuration
    Includes registry settings that can be used during initial kick-off and myAvatar file building.

  • Agency System Configuration
    Include registry settings that can be used during product implementation and support.

  • Form/Field Specific Configuration
    Include registry settings that can be used during product implementation and support stages.  

  • RADplus
    Includes RADplus registry settings.

  1. Go to: RADplus Utilities > Database Management > Registry Settings
  2. In the Select Registry Setting field, to search for a registry setting:

  • Enter any text associated with the registry setting - registry setting name, location, or help message.
    The Registry Settings screen displays all registry settings associated with the search term and the current value of each setting.
    or

  • Leave the Select Registry Setting field blank and click View Registry Settings.
    The Registry Settings screen displays all available registry settings. Select one and click OK to set the value.

  1. The Registry Setting field displays the registry setting location.

  2. The Registry Setting Details field displays the registry setting's help message.

  3. Click Launch Registry Setting Report to generate a report that details all registry settings in the selected application.
    The Select Namespace dialog displays. Choose the application installed in the namespace, click OK.

  4. In the Registry Setting Value field, enter the registry setting value.

  5. In the Hide Registry Settings field, select Yes to exclude the registry setting from a registry setting search.

  6. In the Include Hidden Registry Settings field, select Yes to include registry settings that have been hidden in a registry setting search.

Facilities with multiple system codes

  1. The Update Additional Facilities field populates the root system codes, and displays values filed for the registry setting in other root system codes.

  2. In the Username field, enter the username.

  3. In the Password field, enter the password.
    The username and password validate the user on the other system codes.

  4. Click Submit.

  • The Registry Editor Filing dialog displays if the registry setting was submitted successfully.
  • The Registry Setting Validation dialog displays if the registry setting could not be submitted.

Possible errors

  • The value entered is not valid in other root system codes.

  • The username does not exist in other root system codes.

  • The username does not have access either to registry settings, or to the myAvatar Registry Editor in other root system codes.

  • The password is not valid in other root system codes.
    Click Show Me to display the error. Click Ok.
